AA Radio is pleased to support the Channel Nine Surf Safe Summer Appeal for the third consecutive year.
AA Radio and Surf Life Saving Queensland are calling on all Australians to get behind the red and yellow army of volunteer surf lifesavers during the Channel Nine Surf Safe Summer Appeal.
The Surf Safe Summer Appeal is the largest annual fundraising initiative for SLSQ and is pivotal in ensuring that volunteer surf lifesavers have the necessary equipment, training and resources to continue safeguarding Queensland beaches and waterways.
Proudly supported by AA Radio the appeal will run across summer from 26 October through to 2 December, giving all Australians a chance to show their appreciation for the efforts of volunteer lifesavers across the state.
Last year alone, Queensland’s volunteer surf lifesavers spent more than 300,000 hours on patrol, performing 289,391 preventative actions and, most importantly, saving some 3,610 lives in the process.
